Spotify made news earlier today by lowering its barrier to entry, allowing users to stream music to their phone or tablets for free.
Yet it isn't the only music-streaming service in town, and competitor
Rdio has expanded access to 20 additional countries. This brings the
total number of supported territories up to 51, which this handy map
illustrates.
Newly supported countries:
- Argentina
- Bolivia
- Costa Rica
- Dominican Republic
- Ecuador
- El Salvador
- Guatemala
- Honduras
- Hungary
- Israel
- Liechtenstein
- Luxembourg
- Monaco
- Nicaragua
- Panama
- Paraguay
- Peru
- South Africa
- Uruguay
- Venezuela
An Android app is offered in the Play Store, and though you're free
to give it a go for a limited time, you will need to pony up for a
monthly subscription to make extended use of it. So if your country is
in the list above, congratulations, you too may now take advantage of
the app in the Play Store below.
