If you thought the dimpled soft-touch back of the Samsung Galaxy S5 signaled a new direction for Samsung,
 veering away from the fake stitched leather of the past year, well, the
 latest leak makes it look like Samsung's not quite done with that 
design trope just yet. Courtesy of <a href="https://twitter.com/evleaks/status/440187616181239809" sl-processed="1">@evleaks</a> we're getting a look at what is claimed to be the Samsung Chromebook 2. And its faux stitched leather back.</div>

That's right, not only has the stitched leather plastic look jumped from the Galaxy Note 3 to the TabPRO and NotePRO, it's now making the jump to the Chrome OS-powered Chromebook line of portable laptop things.</div>

There's no saying what exactly is going on with the new Chromebook 2 
(which would actually be the forth Chromebook that Samsung has produced,
 so who knows why it might be called number 2), though even this 
back-angle look shows it taking on a slimmer profile that hews more 
closely to the design language of the rest of Samsung's laptop line-up.</div>

Chromebooks have been picking up some steam in recent months with releases from HP and even a touchscreen model from Acer,
 but so far it seems like many consumers have been hesitant to jump on

Amid the many recent leaks of the new HTC One
 — a.k.a. M8 — it's a little ironic to see the device also cropping up 
in pixelated form in official HTC teaser videos. Nevertheless, HTC has 
gone live with a second teaser trailer for its new One, and it's all 
about metal. We all know about the (2013) HTC One's aluminum unibody, 
but apparently the <em>new</em> HTC One
 is even more metal. (That'd certainly fit in with recent leaks showing a
 wraparound aluminum chassis in place of the plastic trim of last year's
 model.)<br />

HTC has previously teased new and improved BoomSound speakers in the new HTC One. We'll see more of the company's next big thing at the official launch events in London and New York in just over three weeks time.<br />

 Android tablet.</div>

Apple probably isn't going to be getting too worried since Gartner 
says it sold around 70 million iPads in 2013, but the strength of the 
Android hardware ecosystem just keeps on growing. Apple's iPad mini just

cheapest Retina model costing a substantial amount more than something 
like Google's Nexus 7 or Amazon's Kindle Fire.</div>

Users with great big ebooks have reason to 
celebrate today – Google has doubled the file size limit for Google 
Books uploads to 100MB. The change came with little fanfare, just a 
small update on the Google Books support page listing the new limit as 
100MB per file. </div>

Searching for a restaurant that can satisfy
 everyone's culinary preferences isn't particularly easy on a 
smartphone's data connection. The process typically involves searching 
for a specific website, hoping there's a mobile version (nope), and 
searching around for a menu. Now Google's rolling out a feature in the 
US that should streamline things a bit. Just search Google for the menu 
and watch it appear as the top result.</div>

The menu comes complete with tabs for accessing 
different parts of menu, such as appetizers, entrees, and desserts. As 
you can see in the image provided, it helps to be a little bit demanding
 and insist that Google "show me the menu for" when looking for food. </div>

The feature appears to be active immediately, but it may
 take a while before it supports the majority of restaurants around you.
 I had success searching for the same "Fonda San Miguel" restaurant 
provided in the screenshot, Pizza Hut, and a local Chinese place, but I 
had no luck with searches for Burger King, Chipotle, or Olive Garden. 
Right now the feature is more cool than useful, but hopefully that 
changes soon enough.</div>

capacities starting in January. They'll command a premium over standard

Your Android phone or tablet will need to run 4.0 or higher and have USB
 On-The-Go capability to use the drive. If you've got all that, you 
should be able to get your file sharing on with full-sized desktops and 
laptops, or anything else with USB functionality, in no time. </div>

“2-in-1” device, with dual micro USB and USB 2.0 connectors for fast and
 easy back-up, sharing and storing of personal content. The new drive 
fits most Android* smartphones and tablets so mobile consumers can 
transfer and view photos and videos without using cables or Wi-Fi 
access.

According to industry research, photo-taking is the third most 
common use for a smartphone, with viewing and sharing not far behind. 
Tablets are also finding similar use, increasing the need for 
multi-function devices.

The compact devices are available in capacities of 8, 16 and 32 
GB, and in a choice of 3 different cap colors. They join Sony’s existing
 line of storage and transfer options for home and mobile use, giving

The new drives are compatible with Android* devices, version 
4.0.3 to 4.3** and offer the USB On-the-Go (OTG) function, which allows 
portable devices like smartphones to act as a “host” when connected to

storage for their smartphones and tablets, a storage option that’s ideal

Because <strike>one</strike> two wearables 
weren't enough, Samsung had to go and announce a third. This one is a 
little bit different from the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo, however – it's 
called the Gear Fit, and it's basically a fitness tracker with a 
twist... or rather a <em>curve.</em> </div>

The Fit isn't your typical run-of-the-mill fitness tracker, according
 to Samsung. It's packed with "the most comprehensive fitness tools 
available," and it also sends notifications from Galaxy smartphones, 
alerting users of incoming calls, emails, texts, alarms, and the like. 
So, it's kind of like a Gear, but not really. Only sort of. But still 
different. </div>

On the hardware side, the Gear Fit sports a 1.84 inch 432x128 curved 
Super AMOLED display, Bluetooth 4.0, an interchangeable strap, IP67 dust
 and water resistance, accelerometer, gyroscope, heart monitor, and 
210mAh battery. Samsung claims it'll go for 3-4 days between charges, 
which is decent.</div>

Unfortunately, there's no word on cost, but the Gear Fit should be available starting in April. <strong>Update:</strong> The Fit (along with the S5 and Gears) will be available on April 11th in 150 countries. </div>
