Do you use a Sony Xperia Z? Did you buy it from T-Mobile? Then check that Settings menu - according to <a class="external" href="http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-6723" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this T-Mo support page</a>,
 you're getting a taste of Jelly Bean 4.3 starting today. Of course 
these things tend to go out in waves, so those without patience can 
follow the links on T-Mobile's site and manually download and flash the 
new software (10.4.C.0.797) using the Sony PC Companion software. </div>

The last time T-Mobile's carrier-customized version of the Z got an update was way back in November, when it was upgraded to Android 4.2. The vanilla international version of the Xperia Z
 got its 4.3 update in December, so this is a pretty typical delay for 
an American carrier's update. According to the support page, users can 
expect UI improvements to the UXP Air and WiFi calling apps, the 
SwiftKey keyboard replaces a similar one from Nuance, and a 5-bar signal
 is present instead of a 4-bar version. </div>

T-Mobile's software update weighs in a 308MB, which isn't bad as 
these things go. It's recommended that you have your battery charged to 
at least 50% before beginning the update. Have fun. Oh, and don't ask 
how long it will take T-Mobile to get Android 4.4 to your phones - Sony has confirmed that the Xperia Z will get KitKat, but there's no timeframe in place. </div>

The support page says the update is available now, so you might be 
able to manually check for updates and install. However, the doc also 
says the OTA prompt will hit devices between March 6th and 25th. This 
might be referring only to the notification for people who don't check

 Games or Apple's Game Center to track achievements, find other players,
 and compete with one another, you would be able to use Xbox Live

From the looks of things, we're seeing a very recent prototype (from 
February 19) of the AT&T branded unit. It's not a final version, as 
the software information is "Protected" — we're guessing it's running Android 4.4.2 and HTC Sense 5.5 — but it seems mostly production ready from the design point of view.</div>

The software itself seem very similar to the current HTC One, with 
some serious changes in the camera interface. The outside of the phone 
keeps the familiar HTC One look and feel, with the addition of an extra camera that the reviewer hasn't found a use for in his unit.</div>

Amid the many recent leaks of the new HTC One
 — a.k.a. M8 — it's a little ironic to see the device also cropping up 
in pixelated form in official HTC teaser videos. Nevertheless, HTC has 
gone live with a second teaser trailer for its new One, and it's all 
about metal. We all know about the (2013) HTC One's aluminum unibody, 
but apparently the <em>new</em> HTC One
 is even more metal. (That'd certainly fit in with recent leaks showing a
 wraparound aluminum chassis in place of the plastic trim of last year's
 model.)<br />

HTC has previously teased new and improved BoomSound speakers in the new HTC One. We'll see more of the company's next big thing at the official launch events in London and New York in just over three weeks time.<br />

Android tablet sales are on the rise and according to the latest numbers from Gartner, now outsells iOS tablets – so that's the iPad,
 then – quite substantially. OK, there's also plenty more Android 
tablets on the market that there are iPads, but the growth of 121 
percent over 2012 is still staggering.</div>

 Amazon to name but a few, it's hardly surprising to see the rise of the
 Android tablet.</div>

Apple probably isn't going to be getting too worried since Gartner 
says it sold around 70 million iPads in 2013, but the strength of the 
Android hardware ecosystem just keeps on growing. Apple's iPad mini just

cheapest Retina model costing a substantial amount more than something 
like Google's Nexus 7 or Amazon's Kindle Fire.</div>

Google doesn't provide an obvious 
user-facing way to get locally saved media files from your phone to your
 TV using Chromecast. It's a bit annoying, but whatever, we have options
 now. There's AllCast
 for starters, but if you would prefer not to have to deal with yet
